Ciao to all of You!,
It’s a true pleasure to welcome you on the Adriatic coast for the 34th Conference of the European Association for Aquatic Mammals.
For the third time we will meet again in Riccione, which in the past has reserved plenty of surprises to some of you (the very old ones…).
After fifteen years of dreams Oltremare is a reality. Oltremare has been opened in June 2004 and after a one year settling period we are proud of the result: the Dolphin Lagoon, the Seahorses Exhibit, the River Po Delta area, Planet Earth and Darwin are just the main stations of an extraordinary journey through time and space but you will see all of this yourself.
Let's get to the point: the main theme of the Conference is “We Care” and we hope all of you will contribute to make it a success by participating directly and helping your trainers, students and researchers to share their experiences and knowledge.
Niels, as President Elect, is taking care of the scientific contents and he certainly will make a great job.
We are strongly focusing on the social events: our duty will be to make your stay unforgettable. We do not want to anticipate the program but we do recommend to people on a diet not to join the Conference or at least never to leave the Conference room…
